Nick Dowling

Nick's present professional career is very much Regulatory and Quality based. His job is to define the requirements for ensuring that foods and dietary supplements are manufactured meeting the FDA enforced CFR. And, when they come knocking, is the person responsible for proving it. He also brings the experience of applying these practices in the manufacturing environment as well as managing the team it takes to oversee the operation from receiving to laboratory testing. The ability to navigate the regulations and apply them to real life business has been critical to getting our distillery from zero to one.

 Steve has 30 (thirty) plus years of experience within the Telecommunications & Technology Industries, launching Business Software Applications, pioneering Cloud based software solutions in the “Software as a Service (SaaS)” industry, across multiple vertical markets such as Healthcare, Insurance, Hospitality, etc.  Steve had a keen interest in the art of distilling and has experimented for over 20 (twenty) years in merging small distillery “new technology” with proven age old methods & traditions, in order to transform newly distilled clear spirits into highly desirable and drinkable bourbons, whiskeys and brandies.  Steve’s passion for applying local history that comes alive though our distilled spirits, harnessing the taste differentiation gained from our unique aging barrels; using local, generationally grown, ingredients, to create and age distilled spirits into complex, collectable and desirable whiskeys, bourbons, brandies, is evident in the products being created and available at Dowling Distilling!
